ANZ chief executive Mike Smith said the services provided by SingTel and Optus would underpin the connectivity of its business and the delivery of services to its customers in Australia, Asia and the Pacific. The deal is an extension of a contract signed in 2009 that saw Optus undertake end-to-end management of contact centres, roll out a fleet of 20,000 IP phones and deploy a ford-tells-us-about-the-secrets-behind-the-2015-mustangs-camouflage-motoroids new data network connecting ANZ's 850 retail branches. The $530m deal will see Optus and SingTel supply ANZ with core telephony and data services across the Asia-Pacific region for another five years.
